#OnShelf: Stoli Vodka toasts your health

Stoli vodka relanches in South Africa

Stoli Group, a leading global ultra-premium spirit and wine business, has relaunched its presence in South Africa after two years. Imported and distributed by Firebrand Africa, Stoli Premium Vodka, also known as Stolichnaya, is one of the top-selling spirits brands in the world and boasts a rich heritage, where the entire manufacturing process, from the farming of the wheat and rye, to distribution of the finished product, is controlled. The distillery in Tambov a spirit so smooth, Russian Authorities created a separate class for it: ‘The Alpha Spirit’. Stoli Premium Vodka will be available at leading group and independent retailers, with a recommended retail price between R199-R249.

Hawkins & Brimble brings in male grooming range

Hawkins & Brimble one of the UK’s fastest growing natural, male beauty brands, is now available in South Africa. The range is inspired by vintage barbering rituals yet brings a modern twist to the world of classic male grooming products. The idea for Hawkins & Brimble was born in 2016 when the founder, Stephen Shortt, noticed a lack of natural premium quality men’s grooming and skincare products on the shelves of British supermarkets. The full range is exclusively available at selected Dis-Chem stores. Saul Saltzman, executive director of Dis-Chem says, “Consumers are increasingly looking for products that are as natural as possible, so we set out to source a range that combined high-quality ingredients and techniques at a price point that was reasonable.” The carefully curated grooming edit includes shaving and skincare, as well as beard care and hair care.

Betadine health therapy product for women

Betadine Feminine Care range has launched a non-antibiotic therapy for women to ensure vaginal health and prevent disease. Betadine BV Gel is a new, non-antibiotic treatment distributed by Mundipharma South Africa, that has the potential to fulfil areas of unmet clinical need in the treatment of BV (Bacterial Vaginosis) . The BV Gel contains astodrimer sodium, a novel dendrimer-based therapy with a physical mechanism of action that helps to normalise the vaginal pH while relieving symptoms. The new product has proven clinical efficacy and safety in three large randomised trials in over 500 patients and provides rapid relief. It is available over the counter (OTC) from Clicks and other leading pharmacies.
