Clino slow release fertiliser with natural minerals
In recognition of World Water Day on March 8, Pratley is highlighting the benefits of its Vulture Creek Clino for a range of agricultural and horticultural applications. These include a slow-release fertiliser, improving the root zone and fertiliser uptake on golf courses and turf construction; as a soil conditioner that reduces nutrient loss and enhances growth; and as a growing medium for hydroponics. The theme of World Water Day 2022 is, Groundwater – Making the Invisible Visible. Vulture Creek Clino is a completely natural and environment-friendly mineral usually sold in 50kg bags. For largescale projects it is also supplied in one cubic metre bulk bags; and is available from Pratley’s head office in Johannesburg or depots in Durban, Port Elizabeth, and Cape Town.
B2B coating industry platform launched by Plascon
Newly launched Plascon Store is an ecommerce platform tailor-made for retailers and contractors. Plascon’s retailers comprise hardware and home improvement stores such as Mica, Builders Warehouse, Buco, and Makro, which then on-sell the brand to their own customers. Retailers form a significant part of Plascon’s business as they stock its coatings. The Plascon Store was conceptualised and developed because the brand wanted to improve existing communications with its existing retailers. “The process of consulting and ordering can become quite laborious when exchanging documents and awaiting feedback from customer care agents. Lockdown regulations and the ongoing threat of further waves of COVID-19 means face-to-face meetings are not always a viable option either,” comments Plascon’s head of marketing, Suvasin Moodley.
