Lancewood launches instant baked cheesecake mix
With convenience and taste in mind, Lancewood, producer of cheese, yoghurt, and other dairy products, has launched ‘Piece o’ Cake’ cheesecake mix for an effortless, baked, traditional cheesecake. “Consumers continue to look for products that deliver on convenience without compromising on taste or quality, and this is one way in which we hope to meet that need,” said Lancewood marketing manager, Shereen Anderhold. Whilst there are fridge cheesecake ready mixes available, Lancewood’s Piece o’ Cake is the first mix for whipping up a traditional baked cheesecake. “The all-in-one product comes already mixed and prepared in a convenient tub. Simply follow the easy on-pack baking instructions and you’re good to go. Should you wish to add a biscuit base to the cheesecake, this simple recipe can also be found on the pack.” Landing in select retail stores in April 2021, the cheesecake mix is available in plain and caramel. Both retail at R99.99.
African botanical skincare range launches
South African health and wellness company, Feel Better Naturally, has launched the first product in their exclusive African Botanical skincare range. After its launch of Afrigetics, Feel Better Naturally has unveiled The Natural – a skincare brand made with clean, plant-based ingredients that are sustainably sourced from Africa. The unisex brand aims to bring restorative skincare in the way nature intended to all skin types and ages with their growing range. The organic skincare range is scientifically formulated in a SOIL Certified Laboratory on the COSMOS standards. “Grown in Africa, The Natural is designed by nature and therefore is free from any harmful chemicals. What matters to us is skincare that is as pure, simple and natural as you’d find it in nature,” says Andrew Franks, founder of Feel Better Naturally. The Natural is available online and at wellness and select independent stores.
Bull Brand launches ready-to-eat tinned meals
Bull Brand has launched a ready-to-eat range with three new canned meals. The new trio of ready-to-eat meals includes: Baked Beans and Smoked Viennas in Tomato Sauce, Baked Beans and Meatballs in Tomato Sauce, and Spaghetti and Smoked Viennas in Tomato Sauce. Bull Brand has been a part of the SA pantry since 1957 and the introduction of the three new canned meals comes at a time when consumers are strapped for cash and looking for both value and convenience. “We have created these ready-to-eat meals with our consumers in mind, by providing tasty and convenient mealtime solutions,” says Wendy Roman, brand manager for Bull Brand. Roman says that as with all legacy brands, Bull Brand is evolving in line with consumer needs. The brand continues to resonate with a younger market, where Bull Brand maintains its position as one of the coolest brands and has been voted a leader in the canned meats category. The new Bull Brand ready-to-eat products contain no pork, no added MSG, are low in fat and a source of energy and dietary fibre.
