Message from the Editor: Pay-what-you-can

Retailing Africa today launches a ‘Pay-what-you-can’ option for our Press Offices on https://co.retailingafrica.com/. We understand that during this global pandemic and local lockdown, business, particularly small business, needs to be supported.

As our sister media publication, MarkLives announced yesterday, Retailing Africa today launches a ‘Pay-what-you-can’ option for our Press Offices on https://co.retailingafrica.com/. We understand that during this global pandemic and local lockdown, business, particularly small business, needs to be supported.

By changing our commercial model to Pay-what-you-can, we hope your business will be able to keep growing its brand presence during this difficult time. We commit to continue bringing readers daily news and insight on the SA retail environment during #LockdownSA.

This is what business-to-business media do: we support our industries. We are there to facilitate trade. We are there to build your professional brand. We do this by connecting the industry on our innovative platform; and by providing exclusive news, research, thought leadership and strategy to attract readers, through our independent journalism-driven model.

Global partnerships

We have also secured significant media partnerships which will promote Retailing Africa’s brand across the African continent; as well as the globe. We are proud to announce that the global CMO Council has affirmed us as a media partner in Africa, thereby taking Retailing Africa’s brand to marketers around the world; and that we have also concluded a media partnership with the APO Group, which is the leading Pan African press release distribution service and global communications consultancy across Africa, reaching almost 500 000 journalists.

Special offer

Our Press Office is normally R11,900 for a year with unlimited press releases. We are offering it to you at a special offer for the duration of the COVID-19 State of Disaster in South Africa, on a ‘Pay-what-you-can’ model. Contact us on: news@retailingafrica.com if you want to take up our offer. We also encourage the larger brands which can afford R11,900 p/a, to pay the full price to assist us in subsidising the Press Offices for smaller SMMEs in our industry.

Retailing Africa is your industry media, we want you to prevail during these uncertain times. We will keep publishing to ensure we keep you up to date and keep our brand thriving and readership growing. We are all in this together.

Thank you for your support. Stay safe and healthy during #LockdownSA
